The NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine image database includes photographs of NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine buildings, people, departments and events. Early images of the original Weill Cornell Medical College and New York Hospital buildings are included. In addition, class pictures from the medical college and nursing school are included.
The database is available in two portals:
Internal Users: This portal is only available to NYP/WCM affiliates. All of the images in the database, with the exception of patient images that are protected by HIPAA, are included in this portal. Coming Soon!
External Users: This portal is open to all users. It contains selected database images from 1771 to 1976. Of special interest are class pictures of the nursing school and medical college, and early images of the hospital and medical college.

How to Order Images
Please use the Photo Order Form for making any photograph scanning requests. The Photo Order Form must be accompanied by the appropriate permissions form (available below), if the photographs are being used outside the guidelines of U.S. Fair Use (17 U.S.C., Section 107). Please note that rights ownership varies depending on each individual photograph, and the researcher must determine these issues and assume full responsibility for fulfilling the usage terms connected with all archival material, as well as any third party or the licensing of any additional rights.
