We are pleased to report that the image database migration project is now complete. 12,898 images are available to our internal users via the Institutional Database. 8300 images are available to our external users in Shared Shelf Commons.
The databases include images of New York Hospital, Cornell University Medical College, Cornell University-New York Hospital School of Nursing, and Lying-In Hospital. In addition, photographs were pulled from personal paper collections or donated by private donors. Due to copyright concerns, Shared Shelf Commons database only has images dated between the 19th century-1977. The exception is the medical school class pictures are available. In both databases only our collection can be searched by changing the search menu to Cornell: NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center Archives.
