A new collaboration between the Graduate Student Executive Council, Information Technologies and Services, and the Medical Center Archives has created a live stream that is now available on YouTube. The live stream provides a view from a Medical Center Archives window, offering a southern-facing view of the Queensboro Bridge, Roosevelt Island, and Midtown Manhattan.
Kenneth Johnson (GSEC president 2024-2026) notes "Mental health is deeply connected to the environment that surrounds us; we hope this view will offer a meaningful visual connection to New York City, its rhythms, and its changing seasons. By bringing this perspective into the digital space, we aim to foster a sense of calm, continuity, and connectedness for all members of the Weill Cornell Medicine community."
Students and guests can find the livestream link on the Student Services website at: https://studentservices.weill.cornell.edu/upper-east-side-livestream (sometimes the YouTube link itself will change, but the student services page will always be up to date with the correct link)
We invite you to tune in and take a moment of pause whenever you need it.
