The Medical Center Archives of NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine is pleased to reopen its onsite research room for fully vaccinated external researchers beginning March 14, 2022. Official proof of full vaccination and a government-issued photograph ID must be provided upon arrival. Researchers are required to wear medical-grade masks at all times during the onsite research visit.
Please reach out to email-archives@med.cornell.edu to schedule an onsite research appointment. Only researchers with confirmed appointments who have completed the Visitor COVID-19 Vaccination Attestation form (provided by the Medical Center Archives upon confirmation of appointment) in advance may come onsite.
The Medical Center Archives continues to provide thousands of digitized archival items through our website for remote researchers. Updates as of May 2023: the Medical Center of Archives is no longer requiring proof of vaccination, a COVID-19 Attestation form, or requiring medical-grade masks while in the Archives' reading room. We ask that anyone who has tested positive or experienced COVID-19 symptoms within the past 10 days reschedule their appointment for a later date.
