The WCM Library Copyright Resources are designed to assist faculty and staff in negotiating the complex issues of copyright compliance in an academic environment. Unique copyright compliance requirements for medical image sources available within some of the WCM Library's Electronic Resources, are detailed below.
To find consumer health materials in non-English languages, search by ethnic group or language spoken, i.e., Cambodian (group) or Khmer (language). Where possible, search by both the English name and the name in the target language (if Roman alphabetic), and use variations with and without accents and special characters, i.e., Spanish or Español or Espanol.
Open Access (OA) is literature that is available free of charge, and also free of most copyright and licensing restrictions. The move towards OA is a grass-roots response to the increasingly high cost of journals, which makes them difficult for libraries to afford and for users to access.
