Phone Use in the Library

Cell phones may be left on while in the Library, however we request that you set your phone to vibrate rather than ring.

For your convenience the Library has designated the Library Commons area as a telephone conversation zone. This includes the front room of the Library by the windows that face York Avenue.

Food and Drink

In the interest of your convenience, the Library's food and drink policy allows you to enjoy a snack and covered beverage while studying. Adhering to this policy will help us preserve the materials, equipment, furnishings, and environment of the Library.

The following are permitted everywhere:

  • Small snacks (foods such as chips, nuts, pretzels, and cookies)
  • Covered beverages

The following are permitted only in the Commons Lounge:

Library Computer Labs

The library has two computer labs. The PC Lab is located on the lower level, and the Mac Lab is in the 24/7 space. Both labs may be reserved by registered library users for professional and educational activities that require group computer use. Reservations are required and should be made at least two weeks before the date the room is needed. Priority is given to curriculum-related sessions.
