Alumni of Cornell University are extended access to the Samuel J. Wood Library. Eligible persons must register at the Library's SMARTDesk in order to verify alumni status through the Cornell Alumni Office. Once confirmed, you will be issued a card that must be presented each time you enter the Library.

Alumni of Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC) and the Graduate School of Medical Sciences (WCGSMS) are eligible for borrowing privileges at the Samuel J. Wood library.
Staff members of the Samuel J. Wood Library are happy to serve as examination proctors for NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine staff whenever possible. We will try to accommodate all requests but cannot guarantee that we will be able to fulfill all requirements in every case.

The Library offers printing and photocopying to patrons for a fee through Papercut, WCM's print management system. To access your account or register for a new account, please visit print.weill.cornell.edu. You can add cash to your account at the Add Value Station in the Library Commons (sorry, no credit/debit cards). WCM medical students, 1st and 2nd year Ph.D. students, PA students, and Computational Biology students receive a weekly $20 PaperCut printing allotment.
Course reserves are materials (including books, disks, A/V materials, journal articles and/or photocopies, electronic resources, instructional equipment, and non-book items) chosen by the faculty to support class instruction. Access to this material is more restricted than items in general circulation.

All students, faculty and staff of Weill Cornell Medical College and Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences, as well as all staff of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and affiliated institutions have access to the library.
