The presentation will:
- Discuss lowering the risk of developing Type 2 diabetes
- Discuss strategies to manage diabetes and reduce the risk of complications in people with Type 2 diabetes
- Provide an overview of meal planning, physical activity, glucose monitoring and diabetes medications for people with Type 2 diabetes.
Gwendolyne Jack, MD, MPH is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine’s Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology. She is the Lead of the Ambulatory Diabetes Program at Weill Cornell Medicine Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism.
Regina Hanna, APRN, MSN is a Diabetes Clinical Nurse Specialist and Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist with over 40 years’ experience with a focus on diabetes prevention, management, education, as well as health and wellness coaching.
