Welcome back, Weill Cornell alumni!
The staff and resources of the Samuel J. Wood Library at Weill Cornell Medicine are available to you to support your research, learning, and practice.
Alumni of Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC) and the Graduate School of Medical Sciences (WCGSMS) are eligible for borrowing privileges at the Samuel J. Wood Library.
Alumni of Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC) and the Weill Cornell Graduate School wishing to visit the library as well as borrow materials must present a letter of verification from the Office of Alumni Relations (email: alumni@med.cornell.edu or call: 646-962-9560) as well as a photo ID to the staff at the Library's SmartDesk. A library "dip" card will be issued to eligible alumni at that time. This card will allow you to access the gates at the Library's entrance as well as borrow library material.
Alumni of the Medical College and Graduate School can also utilize the historical collections held in the Medical Center Archives, dating back to 1771. Visit https://library.weill.cornell.edu/archives to learn more about the collections and how to use them for your research.
Please note that alumni privileges do not include Interlibrary Services, TripSaver Requests, off-site access to most licensed electronic resources, or access to any of our affiliated institutions. For further details regarding alumni resource access policies, click here.
While off-site access to most licensed electronic resources is unavailable, access to free eResources, OpenAccess, and a selected list of subscribed/paid electronic resources are available to Alumni via the Library's Electronic Resources page. All other licensed resources are only available on the New York Weill Cornell Medical Center network while visiting on campus.
Please consult the LibGuide on Alumni and Retirees Resources & Services to see what resources are available to alumni at home.
