The PC Lab and Mac Lab are available for individual computer use when the library is open and scheduled classes are not in session.
Computers are available to all users on a first-come, first-served basis. Users are to take all belongings with them when finished.
Belongings may not be left at a computer to "reserve" that computer for later uses.
- Eating is not permitted in the Computer Labs. Beverages must be kept in closed containers.
Classes:
We will hold the room for no more than 15 minutes.
The maximum occupancy of the PC Lab is 20 people. The maximum occupancy of the Mac Lab is 9 people. These limits may not be exceeded.
It is the instructor's responsibility to set up the PC Lab projector and lectern laptop, which is kept at the SMARTDesk and available upon request.
The instructor should check out the key for the PC Lab Podium from the SMARTDesk using their library-registered ID card.
Instructors with special software needs may request that software be temporarily downloaded on any or all workstations. Requests for special software must be made in advance via Service Now.
Reservations may be overridden if the room is needed for a higher priority. We will notify you in advance should this occur.
The instructor is responsible for returning equipment to its original location, returning the key, and leaving the room in an orderly condition.
Please report any equipment problems to the SMARTDesk before leaving the library.
Damage to the room or equipment will result in replacement/repair/cleaning fees.
The library reserves the right to cancel reservations for groups that do not observe the policies stated above.
Use of the PC Computer Lab or Mac Lab during hours the library is closed will be considered on a case-by-case basis by library administration and will incur a $175/hr fee - $100/hr for an ITS tech and $75/hr to open and staff the space.

- Exams with special software or system needs may request that software be temporarily downloaded on any or all workstations as soon as the exam requirements have been received. Requests for special software must be made in advance via Service Now.
- To ensure that the computers have the proper system requirements needed to support the exam, we ask that you please come in to test them at least one week before the exam. Please let us know your preferences ahead of time, and we will try to book the Computer Lab for a preliminary testing date and time of your convenience.

Always indicate in the notes section of your booking if your exam begins before the available booking window.
- You may be required to have an ITS tech on-site for the duration of the exam. We recommend that you strongly consider this option for all exams, since there may not be any staff available to troubleshoot potential issues during the exam. This service will incur an additional fee of $100/hour. A finalized invoice will be sent to your department after the event with the official pricing.
Technical Support
Technical support is very limited. We recommend that you bring your own support, or become familiar with the Technology Instructions. SMARTDesk staff may be able to assist if available. Requests for special software installation and assistance must be made in advance via Service Now.
